Anniversary festival cancelled

The new date for the festival celebrating our 100th anniversary is also cancelled for now, with no replacement.

2021 is proving a difficult year and has not got off to as good a start as we had hoped. Having postponed the anniversary festival for its 100th year, planned for last year, to 2021 because of the coronavirus situation, the music club has now decided to cancel the new date as well, for now and with no replacement. In terms of financial planning and weighing up the risks, this is the only sensible decision to protect the village community, the club and its members.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone involved most warmly for their support during the planning stages, and the other clubs, businesses and individuals for their offers of help with the festival. It is this great willingness to help that makes festivals like this possible in the first place.

For now the music club, like everyone else, is practising patience. We are keeping our community and our love of music going with various events held online. In the village you can currently find us every Saturday outside Metzgerei Schäfer, and we are glad of every friendly face there. We hope that we all stay healthy, that we will soon be allowed to start rehearsing again, and that we can then bring Bissingen’s cultural life back to life for you and with you once more.

Warm regards, and stay healthy, Your Musikverein Bissingen
