Walking trip – the heatwave lite version
In the great heat we cut the walk short without further ado: two hours through the shady woods, then a stop at the inn.
Very high temperatures were forecast for the weekend, so we changed our plans: instead of the long tour we set off on a loop of a good two hours, 6.2 kilometres through the shady woods, and then stopped for a bite at the Deutsches Haus. Packed lunches and barbecue kit could stay at home; enough to drink could not.
It was shorter, but lovely all the same – with views, good spirits and a few very expressive faces in the group photo.
